Another House Project (aka - yahoo!!!!)

I love doing at least one house project a year... since we got the house 6 years ago, we have now repainted and/or drywalled all of the walls (at least once), replaced all the windows, redone the majority of the floors, removed two walls to open up the kitchen/dining room/living room area, gotten a new HVAC, gotten new doors, etc... our latest project was pouring a front walk. Until now, our guests have had to walk through the grass/mud to make their way to our door... now, we are happy to provide a great sidewalk :). It makes a huge difference, and we love it! Now we just need to get some landscaping... Here are some pix of the process.



The boys were enthralled with the process... particularly when the cement truck showed up... Wesley thought the wet cement looked like jello... and Dylan liked to try to throw things into it when no one was looking (rotten thing). Anyway, they sat for quite some time, just watching.



We wanted to put the boys' handprints in the sidewalk before it dried, just for fun... here is DC doing his prints, and below are the boys showing off their cement covered hands... along with my super-studly husband in the background, waiting to hose them off. These are all phone pix, so the quality isn't great.

The finished product... it looks great!!! Also want to give kudos to Chris for the great looking grass stripes in the front yard :).
